Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique spoke about racist abuse aimed at Neymar during Barcelona’s 0-0 draw with Espanyol.
Monkey chanting was heard while Neymar dribbled the ball, and the Spanish midfielder confirmed that it came “in one corner, in the first half, from one supporter.”
Meanwhile, Pique said: “If that happened, obviously they should be charged and the correct measures taken. Those who did it are responsible, not the Espanyol fans [as a whole]. They should be identified and singled out one by one.”
Coach Luis Enrique, however, did not want to speak about the incident. He said: “I am only interested in the game of football. If I talk about something, I get criticised. If not, I get criticised too.”
