Luis Enrique Martinez, FC Barcelona coach, offered his usual press conference on Friday ahead of Saturday’s clash with Valencia.
The coach was not interested in talking about the Denis Cheryshev case and thinks without Nuno Espirto Santo in charge, Valencia could be more unpredictable than ever.
He also hailed Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez as the best attack in the history of football.
“We’re up against a team that changed their coach and all the work we’ve done until now is in doubt.”
“It’s a difficult game, like all those we play in the Mestalla. Valencia count on young players of quality and the work Nuno did, for me, stood out.”
“Valencia are one of the best teams in the league for their quality and it’s possible this will be a game they react in. Last year we won in the last minutes – although we could have done it before.”
“With Leo Messi there is no physical problem. And the injured players will have their places back according to how their injuries progress.”
“At Barcelona all of us are in charge of the cards the players are shown and who is banned. I don’t want to go into this controversy. We are all responsible, everyone and no-one. Everyone.”
“I have no opinion that I consider interesting about the situation of Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey.”
“The calendar since the start of the season has been very tough, but we don’t want to take the balance now. It’s better to go game by game, competition by competition.”
“I hope there are no more injuries. It’s true that some players have played more, but in January, when we can incorporate players, we could manage them more. But I’m optimistic because the players are enjoying doing what they want.”
“This trident (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) is the best in the history of Barcelona, without a doubt, and I would dare to say in the history of football. Because it unites players with so much scoring ability, so much quality, so much solidarity.”
