Wilfrid Kaptoum, a Barcelona B player who made his debut against Villanovense, was satisfied with his performance and hopes to continue at the top level. Speaking to TV3, he said that this game “has served to catch the feelings” and explained a bit about his sporting trajectory. “I arrived at Barcelona in 2008, seven years ago, but I arrived mid-season, first playing at Sant Andreu then with Infantil B. From that day I’ve been here.”
Kaptoum said that “I arrived at Barcelona as part of the Samuel Eto’o Foundation, but now I have agents that are in charge of me. I keep in touch with the foundation.”
Happy to debut for the first team, Kaptoum said that “It was strange playing with first team players, apart from those in the centre of the pitch from the youth academy. We have to adapt ourselves to a fantastic team with fantastic players, I think that we did well.”
In terms of playing in the return leg at Camp Nou, Kaptoum said: “I hope to earn this position and have the same opportunity to play at Camp Nou. Now I have to train hard and work in each game to convince the coach to call me again.”
