Yaya Toure claims how Lionel Messi threatens players with nutmegs before kick-off.
Yaya Toure has revealed what Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi says to opponents ahead of a game.
The Argentine, known for his mesmerising control and dribbling ability, singles out players that he is going to nutmeg before the game has even kicked off.
Toure, who is an ex-team-mate of Messi, said the Blaugrana star had singled him out as one of those players before Manchester City’s meeting with the Camp Nou club last season.
As per the Mirror, the Ivorian said: “Last year in the dressing room he told me he was going to nutmeg me. He’d done that before, say he was going to do it to one guy or another.
“I saw him nutmeg two of my team-mates and was so scared he’d do it to me.
“Whenever he came near me I screamed inside ‘please not me, don’t nutmeg me’. I was afraid he’d embarrass me in front of my family.”
Toure is not the first person to be scared of being embarrassed by Messi and he surely won’t be the last.
The Argentine is one of the best dribblers in the world and is capable of producing the incredible on a football pitch.
He has embarrassed many opponents and his goal in the Copa Del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao is an example of his unreal talent.
Messi is currently out with a knee injury, so opposing are safe from the fear of being embarrassed.
However, he is not the only Barca player capable of producing a mesmerising nutmeg. Luis Suarez could meg a mermaid.
