Bad news struck for Barcelona on Tuesday night as they trained in Germany ahead of their Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
Neymar suffered what the club described as a “small” injury to his groin – left thigh – and the Brazilian will not be available to feature in the final Champions League clash on Wednesday.
Barcelona have already qualified top of their group for the next round of the tournament, but the news won’t please coach Luis Enrique, who already feels his squad is short.
One of Munir El Haddadi and Sandro Ramirez may come in to take Neymar’s place.
The development comes on the day Neymar was announced as La Liga’s player of the month for November, the first time a Barcelona player has won the award.
