FC Barcelona finished 2015 with a new record. 180 goals. Something that supercedes Real Madrid’s 178 scored in 2014. A demonstration that Barcelona are the best attacking team in the world. It’s all thanks to the trident – Messi, Neymar and Suarez have 48, 41, 48 goals respectively – 137 of the 180.
That’s 76 per cent of the total, with the rest shared out between Rakitic (7), Pedro (5, before joining Chelsea), Pique (4), Mathieu and Sandro (3 each). On two are Sergi Roberto, Adriano, Rafinha, Iniesta, Bartra and Munir. One for Jordi Alba, Vermaelen, Dani Alves and Xavi, before he went to Qatar.
Against Betis, the last game of the year and the match they achieved the record in, Westermann scored an own goal, before Messi and Suarez (two) did the damage.
