Barcelona and UEFA have reached a temporary agreement which will stop the club getting more sanctions against them for fans waving estelada flags during Champions League matches, until the legal proceedings opened against them for doing so against Bayer Leverkusen end.
At this moment the sanction has been taken to the court of appeal and it is expected to be resolved in the next two to three months. If they back Barcelona, the mater will end. Of course UEFA will keep making records of each game where the independence symbol is shown.
Barcelona will take the matter to the CAS if there is not a positive outcome, which will suspend the issue for a further two or three months. Barcelona are commited to exhausting the legal channels open to them and UEFA, at the request of the club, have agreed to stop the sanctions until there is a final decision.
