Former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola is on Manchester United’s radar to replace current boss Louis Van Gaal, according to reports.
The Mirror states that the Dutchman will leave his post at the end of next season, and Guardiola is being eyed as a potential replacement.
Guardiola, now Bayern Munich manager, will reportedly leave the Bundesliga champions at the end of the season when his current deal expires.
The Spaniard has claimed consecutive Bundesliga titles since joining the club in 2013, aswell as the 2013/14 DFB-Pokal and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Van Gaal guided United to a fourth place finish in his first season with the club, improving on 2013/14’s seventh place finish during David Moyes’ short-lived stint at the helm.
The Red Devils’ Champions League campaign got off to a poor start in Eindhoven on Tuesday, van Gaal’s men went down 2-1 to PSV, with left-back Luke Shaw suffering a horrific leg break which could see him miss the rest of the season.
