Sergio Busquets has urged Barcelona to improve, insisting they will not get away with any mistakes when the big matches come around.
For the second time in as many home games, Luis Enrique’s side fell behind against lesser opposition — last week it was Rayo Vallecano; on Sunday it was Eibar.
Busquets was happy to see his side fight back via a Luis Suarez hat-trick, but he is aware improvements are necessary.
“The three points are important, but we’re going through a moment where our rivals’ attacks are penalising us a lot,” he conceded after the win.
“We made an error [against Eibar] and it cost us a lot. We have to try to correct that when the big matches arrive, because we can’t make mistakes then.”
He added that he “wasn’t close enough” to offer an opinion on Javier Mascherano’s second half red card, before praising the impact Neymar and Luis Suarez have had since Lionel Messi has been out injured.
“Some days it’s Neymar, others it is Suarez who helps to unblock games,” he said. “They make the difference.”
