David Villa is in Asturias on holiday after enjoying his first foray into American soccer with New York City. The striker, despite his distance, is still interested in FC Barcelona and Spanish football.
Speaking about Leo Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez, the former Barcelona striker said: “It’s without doubt, the best trident in Barcelona history,” he told Astur Wagen.
“Without doubt, it’s the best. I say it having been part of one of the best forward lines the club has had.”
The striker knows what he is talking about. It’s not for nothing he’s the second top scorer in Spanish national team history. For this, his opinion of the MSN counts.
“The numbers speak for them alone. You only have to analyse them, they are beasts, individually and as a unit.”
Villa also praised Luis Enrique. “When he arrived the team started in up and down fashion, critics coming from all angles, and they ended up champions of everything.”
