Lionel Messi is fine. The player himself has demonstrated as much since returning to the pitch in the Clasico following a two month injury lay-off due to knee ligament damage.
On Wednesday, during the final game of the Champions League group stage against Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, alarm bells were sounded when he ended the game grabbing his hamstrings.
Keeping in mind how close the Club World Cup is now and the recent injury to Neymar, there were naturally concerns about the images showing Messi appearing to be in a small amount of pain.
However, the club have called for calm. Leo Messi is in perfect condition. His gesture was merely a reflex provoked by tiredness having missed so much action recently.
The player will take part in a recovery session on Thursday with the rest of the players that played in Germany and will be fine for the match at home to Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.
