Turan was on Manchester United radar

Manchester United wanted Arda Turan last summer according to the player’s agent.

The Barcelona midfielder will likely make his debut for the Catalan club in January in the Copa del Rey against Espanyol, after being frozen out thanks to the ban on his side registering new players.

If he had chosen to move to the Premier League that wouldn’t have been a problem, and his agent explained it wasn’t too far away from happening, but Atletico Madrid did not want to sell him.

Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut told AMK: “Last season Manchester United made a bid for Arda but Atletico Madrid did not want him to leave. I was in talks with Barcelona but told nobody about it at the time.”
