Claudio Bravo 7
The goalkeeper didn’t have a lot to do, but was alert when the ball was near his box.
Dani Alves 7
The Brazilian defender has ended the year in exceptional form. A shame he couldn’t finish the game with a goal but it wasn’t for want of trying.
Javier Mascherano 6
Did nothing wrong, kept things simple and always looked for an easy pass when on the ball. His anticipation and capacity to intimidate were helpful.
Thomas Vermaelen 6
The Belgian had a quiet game, without too many demands on him, always offering himself to bring the ball out.
Jeremy Mathieu 6
Had a mixed season so far – he’s a player capable of being great and terrible within the same match. Played on the left, but without a lot of conviction.
Sergio Busquets 7
Another fine game. Perfectly positioned, recovered a lot of balls. With him watching their backs, the team can breathe.
Ivan Rakitic 7
The Croatian seemed like he wasn’t there, but he always appears. Was key in opening the score, forcing an own goal as he tried to convert Neymar’s missed penalty.
Sergio Roberto 8
A fine display of power and potential. Played as a left-sided interior, ending the year at a very high level, understanding what Neymar and Suarez wanted immediately.
Leo Messi 7
The Argentine crack was not at his best, but set up goals and hit the bar. Scored himself after great work with Neymar.
Luis Suarez 8
The Uruguayan forward finished the year at one with the goal. Two more in this game, reward for his hard work and sacrifice. What he brings to the trident is becoming spectacular.
Neymar 7
Hit the bar with his penalty after slipping, then the post when he should have beaten Adan. Regardless, a key player for the team.
