Villarreal have signed Denis Suarez from Barcelona after negotiating a deal to end the midfielder’s loan agreement with Sevilla.
Former Manchester City youth player Suarez, 21, joined Barca in 2013 and agreed a two-year loan switch to Sevilla in 2014.
Sport reports that Villarreal agreed to pay Sevilla €4 million to cut short the loan deal at the Sanchez Pizjuan and then sealed a permanent move from Barca on a free transfer.

Villarreal announced on Saturday that the player had passed a medical and agreed a four-year contract at El Madrigal.
Barca confirmed on their official website that they have an option to repurchase the player, with Sport reporting that the figure is €3m at the end of this season or €6m at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
A statement on the Catalan club’s website read: “FC Barcelona, Sevilla FC and Villarreal CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Denis Suarez to the latter.

“The player spent last season on loan at Sevilla as part of the same deal that brought Ivan Rakitic to the Camp Nou. Suarez was originally due to stay in Andalusia for two years, through to the summer of 2016, but is now headed for Castellon, with Barca maintaining the option to rebuy the player at the end of the season.
“The Catalan club also holds onto a second option to repurchase him at the end of the 2016-17 season, and a right to first refusal should it not exercise that right.”
