Barcelona boss Luis Enrique says his side will take on Espanyol in the Copa del Rey last 16 clash “as if there is no second leg”, saying his players are at “the perfect level of motivation”.
He reiterated that Barcelona did well against Espanyol against Cornella despite the game ending in a goalless draw.
“We played a great game at their ground. We created six or seven very clear goalscoring chances that could have won us the match,” he said.
“But that doesn’t mean that there weren’t a lot of things that we need to improve, and in fact we have been able to do just that.”
The game takes place on King’s Day, a holiday in Spain, and Lucho hopes to give a present to Barcelona supporters. He added: “we are looking forward to giving our fans a very nice King’s day gift.”
