FC Barcelona are closing in on their targets for the summer. The sporting director has intensified focus on the players the club likes, even making contact with some clubs to see if they are willing to negotiate. This is the case for Antonio Candreva, Lazio midfielder, who could be wearing Blaugrana next season.
According to Cittaceleste.it, Ariedo Braida, Barcelona’s international sporting director, loves Candreva for his versatility and work-rate, as well as his ability to score. Braida is convinced that to sign him would be perfect for Luis Enrique’s team – the coach likes his players to go box to box, like Rafinha and Rakitic.
Barcelona have made contact with Lazio to find out the player’s price, according to the Italian website. The response? €35m. A big figure for a team that is hoping to save for the next few months.
At 28, Candreva has become one of the best Italian midfielders, impressing at Lazio, where he arrived in 2012 from Cesena. As well as Barcelona, Inter Milan and AC Milan have cast their gaze over the Roman player.
