Marc-Andre ter Stegen 7
Saved well from Igor Stasevich in the first half. Off his line quickly to clean up a mess before the break, and some unorthodox play by his own corner flag ended up in a good Barcelona break.
Dani Alves 6
Rare from the Brazilian, but didn’t offer much support in attack. The full-back was also caught out once or twice at the back, but to no great effect.
Javier Mascherano 7
Back in action after suspension against Getafe. He looks more comfortable as a centre-back than in midfield these days – here was was tidy.
Thomas Vermaelen 7
Does he make mistakes? The Belgian was a calm and commanding presence. The only issue was a foul he gave away on the edge of the box. A good return from injury.
Adriano 6
A relatively safe game from the full-back. Rarely troubled, but of course he couldn’t add to the attack in the same way Jordi Alba does.
Sergio Busquets 7
Mopped up a fair few balls and generally bosses the midfield area, giving BATE little time to get anything of their own going.
Ivan Rakitic N/A
Taken off early in the first half injured.
Sergi Roberto 7
Started off as a right-winger but was forced to move inside. A solid game, albeit not as spectacular as some of his recent displays. Helped set up the third with a great pass into space for Suarez.
Andres Iniesta 8
A triumphant Camp Nou return for the captain after injury. His passing was good, as was his footwork on the ball when dribbling. Welcome back.
Luis Suarez 8
His goal was brilliantly and brutally taken. Three touches, the last of which dispatched it inside the near post. His incredible form in front of goal continues. Set up Neymar’s second goal.
Neymar 9
Stroked home a penalty without a run-up to send Barcelona ahead after half-an-hour. Skillful as ever, Barcelona’s creator in Messi’s absence. Set up another Suarez goal with a run and pass from the left, before the Uruguayan returned the favour.

Munir El Haddadi 7
Good exchange of passes with Suarez before he was fouled in the box for the penalty in the first half. Probably his best performance in recent weeks.
