Claudio Bravo 6
No big saves to make but did what little he needed to. One slip up from a corner was cleared by Pique.
Dani Alves 4
A game to forget for the fullback. Bad in attack, giving a lot of balls away.
Gerard Pique 5
The centre-back found it hard to bring the ball out because of the poor state of the pitch. Found life tough when asked to defend corners.
Javier Mascherano 5
His attitude was strong, fighting until the game, but had little else to offer. Scrapped with Alvaro.
Jordi Alba 5
Started badly, withouth ever taking control of his flank, had a lot of doubts on the ball. After the break he improved, but never seemed comfortable.
Sergio Busquets 6
Adapted to the bad pitch, but got tired of fighting on his own to break up Espanyol attacks.
Ivan Rakitic 5
This was not his game. Without ideas or solutions in midfield. Neither did he try to shoot. He was Luis Enrique’s only substituted player.
Lionel Messi 6
Continued his bad luck with the woodwork, striking it with a free kick. Not at his best and could not help the team.
Luis Suarez 6
Did not adapt to the bad conditions on the pitch. Could have scored one of the most magical goals of the season but hit the post.
Neymar 6
The most creative Barcelona player in attack. A spectacular semi-overhead kick was saved by Pau.

Sergi Roberto 6
The only man brought on by Luis Enrique to play as right interior. Espanyol did not make things easy for him.
